The Brave – 5km & 10km Cliff and Beach Run

After six years, The Brave returns to Exmouth – the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast – for an exciting 5km & 10km cliff and beach challenge. Starting and finishing at Sideshore, which also serves as race HQ, the course showcases Exmouth’s stunning seafront, coastal paths, sandy beach, and marina for a uniquely scenic challenging running experience.

This year’s event is proudly sponsored by Sideshore, helping us create a safe, enjoyable, and vibrant race for runners and spectators.

Choose your challenge:

  • 5km – a quicker, fast-moving route

  • 10km – a tougher longer challenge
    Both routes are mixed terrain and suitable for runners of all levels.

You can also choose between a bespoke wooden medal or a ‘No Medal’ entry at a reduced price.

Supporting ‘The Sideshore Project’

The Sideshore Project is a community-driven programme built around three key strands:

  • Sea swimming & water safety education

  • Environmental awareness

  • Creative arts

These sessions reach hundreds of children across Devon every year, inspiring confidence, environmental connection, and care for our coastline.

Race Day Logistics & Timings

Event Date: 1 March 2026

  • 08:30–09:30 – Litter pick with Plastic Free Exmouth (optioinal)

  • 09:00 – Race number collection opens (pre-registered entrants)

  • 09:00 – Baggage drop opens

  • 10:15 – Pre- and same-day registrations close

  • 10:25 – Pre-race briefing

  • 10:30 – Race starts
