What is Sideshore Community?

Sideshore Community is the trading name for Queens Drive Exmouth CIC – the not-for-profit CIC at the heart of Sideshore. It exists to help people enjoy and protect the ocean environment, connect with nature, improve their wellbeing, and feel a deeper sense of belonging to our wonderful Exmouth community. While the Sideshore venue provides the physical home — the buildings, the Mallow, and the businesses who bring daily life to the site — Sideshore Community is the organisation which drives the social impact behind it all.

Led by the Nicky (Community & Innovation Lead) and Bernie (Activity & Project Manager), our CIC by the sea creates and delivers community initiatives, partnerships, education programmes and events. This includes everything from sustainability sessions for schools, to collaborative projects such as The Sideshore Project, to leading the community response and legal action against South West Water. Sideshore Community acts as a convenor, a catalyst, and a champion for the people who live, work and play along Exmouth’s coastline.
